    Aspire Coronation Trust (ACT) Foundation is a grant making nonprofit organization established in 2016 to support local, national and regional non – profit organizations working to address challenges and associated vulnerabilities across the African Continent.   • Job Summary

    The Research Executive is responsible for advancing ACT Foundation's objectives by conducting insightful research, analyzing data, and providing evidence-based recommendations. Research carried out will contribute to the development and implementation of effective strategies, programs, and policies that align with our mission and target beneficiaries.

  • Duties & Responsibilities

    • Conduct in-depth research and literature reviews on relevant topics related to our organization's mission and projects.
    • Develop research plans, methodologies, and frameworks to ensure the collection of accurate and comprehensive data.
    • Gather, compile, and analyze data from various sources, including surveys, interviews, and secondary research, to derive actionable insights.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand research needs and align findings with organizational objectives.
    • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and visualizations that effectively communicate research findings to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Stay abreast of the latest research trends, methodologies, and best practices in the non-profit and relevant sectors.
    • Contribute to grant applications, fundraising efforts, and project proposals by providing research-based evidence and data-driven considerations.
    • Cultivate partnerships with institutions, research organizations, and subject matter experts to enhance our research capabilities.
    • Develop research-based knowledge products for public dissemination, including white papers, articles, and social media content.
    • Manage external consultants on research projects and engagements.
    • Prepare reports of completed projects for publication in research journals, for presentation to agency requesting project, or for use in further applied or theoretical research activities.
    • Oversee the implementation of special projects.
    • Provide weekly/monthly updates on Research activities ongoing and completed.
    • Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Team Lead or Head of Programs.
  • Qualifications & Skill Requirements

    • First degree in a relevant field, such as Social Sciences, Public Policy, Economics, or related disciplines.
    • any discipline from an accredited institution.
    • At least 2– 4 years’ experience working in Research, preferably in the non-profit or social sector.
    • Strong proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, data analysis, and statistical software.
    • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing research projects, including developing research protocols and data collection instruments.
    • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and data integrity.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
    • Passion for social impact and a deep commitment to the organization's mission.
    • Familiarity with relevant ethical guidelines and standards for research in the non-profit sector.
    • Proficiency in using technology and data visualization tools to enhance research outputs is a plus.
    • Experience in working with international NGOs, local civil society organizations, government, bilateral and multilateral donors in a multi-cultural, politically sensitive environment.
    • Thorough understanding of program management, donor reporting requirements and managing donor relations.
    • Extremely strong computer literacy skills with knowledge of SPSS and/or STATA
    • Ability to conduct independent research work and to disseminate results.
    • Excellent understanding of HEEL related issues locally and globally.
    • Ability to manage complex projects, workload, set priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to present complex issues in an accessible style, verbally and in writing.
    • Strong proficiency in the use of Tableau and/or Power Bi, and Microsoft office productivity tools particularly PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Project.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of relevant Nigerian public and private sector policies, programs, and initiatives.
